for the garth that actually lays them: they are round, semi transparent, sort of underwhelming in color (vaguely blue-green but more in a camouflage way than a bright neon way), and roughly the size of. like. a large peach? they are sort of gelatinous with a soft membranous shell and come out fairly easily usually though some straining happens at times when an atlantean is younger and laying their first several clutches. they have a pretty identifiable "yolk" and "white" within the membrane and you... could technically "pop" them with enough force but you have to really squeeze/squish it to do so.

you did not ask but- when they're fertilized you can see the little bitty fishy baby developing inside and it is weird and gross and weird and gross and wonderful <3 eventually they get too big and split their membrane open and then the baby is a little helpless thingy that has to be watched over while it continues to develop. NOT THAT ANYONE WANTS TO COME FERTILIZE GARTH'S STUPID CLUTCH. SNIFFS....
