Hey, why did you tag an anypov bot as wlw? I just wanted to give you my perspective on it because the wlw tag is specifically for women loving women, so a fempov user with a female character. Looking at the description, I also can’t really see anything saying that she is a lesbian.

I don’t know how aware you are of this, but wlw creators face a lot of harassment from people demanding that we make our bots anypov. People also often justify it by pointing at other bots that are tagged both wlw and anypov, so it can get kinda exhausting.

I mostly wanted to understand your reasoning. Is the bot truly anypov, as in a male character could interact with her romantically? Because in that case, the bot wouldn’t be wlw. Or is it anypov in the sense that both women and nonbinary people can interact with her, wlw includes nonbinary people? Because if it’s the latter, I personally think it might make more sense to use a custom tag like “nonbinary friendly” instead of the anypov tag.

I’m not trying to tell you what to do, though. This is just my perspective on the tagging and why some wlw creators can be a bit particular about it. No disrespect to you or your bots at all, just wanted to share my thoughts and understand your reasoning.

hai! thank you for reaching out to me about this! :D I’m actually very aware of the amount of harassment and comments wlw (and mlm) bot creators can get from people asking them to make their bots anypov, because I’ve seen it myself. I genuinely don’t mean any harm by using the tag wrongly(?)

I’m assuming the bot you’re referring to is Lilia. Lilia is intended to be a wlw bot, and the reason I used the anypov tag is because I wanted to allow people with different gender identities to use her, including transfem and some nonbinary/woman aligned personas who may not necessarily identify strictly as women. My intention with the tag wasn’t to imply that Lilia is attracted to men or that the bot is meant to be open to every gender romantically. I was trying to make the POV side more inclusive while still making the relationship itself wlw, if that makes sense.

I also have an mlm bot on my profile with the anypov tag, and I use it for essentially the same reason. I didn’t use a nonbinary specific tag because I didn’t want to imply that the bot was exclusively intended for people who identify as nonbinary or use they/them pronouns. I was trying to make the tag cover a wider range of gender identities rather than define the user's gender for them.

That said, I completely understand why "anypov" can be confusing in this context, especially because it can reasonably be read as meaning that the character can romantically interact with people of any gender. I can see how that would make the wlw tag seem contradictory, and I’ll take that into consideration ^^

I also just realized that I never actually stated anywhere in Lilia’s profile that she is a lesbian after you point it out, which is completely my fault and I’m sorry about that. I appreciate you explaining your perspective rather than assuming bad intentions !
