i can't clearly remember what trivia i have/haven't shared over the years, but they're moreso the "blurred boundaries between scientific inquiry and sadism" variety of pervert. most of the time they at least initially believe any fixations are benign, though. bit of cognitive dissonance going on there. they're not completely repelled by sexual contact, but it only tends to interest them contextually, is how i'd put it.
